Cherry Peach Cake

Last weekend the Dunkin Family went peach picking in Cornelius Oregon at Possy Farms, we had so much fun. Possy Farms also offered apple and pear picking, you could not beat the price of .89 cents a pound, it was a fabulous day for picking fruit. We brought our bounty home and I processed everything then sealed it up in vacuum bags for the freezer, I left out 2 peaches to make this incredible easy and very tasty dessert.

1 - Pillsbury Moist Supreme White Cake Mix
1 C. - Water
1/3 C. - Oil
3 - Whole Eggs
18-20 - Peach Slices
1 C. - Cherry Pie Filling

Make the cake according to the directions, spray a 13x9 pan with some cooking spray and then spoon a small layer of batter into the bottom of the pan. Top with an even layer of sliced peaches and then spoon on and smooth the remaining batter. Spoon dollops of pie filling over the top of the cake, bake in a 350 degree oven for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. This can be served warm or cold, with whipped topping or ice cream.

I am not sure I've ever had a peach/cherry combo, but I love the idea of it!

Hope you have a great long weekend Mary Beth!
