The Ultimate Sugar Cookie

1 1/4 Cups Sugar
1 Stick or 1 Cup Butter flavor Crisco
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup Light corn syrup
1 Tbs. Vanilla
3 Cups All purpose flour
3/4 Tsp. Baking powder
1/2 Tsp. Baking soda
1/2 Tsp. Salt

Colored sugar sprinkles & cookie cutter

Place sugar and Crisco in a large bowl of your kitchen aid. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add eggs, syrup & vanilla; beat until fluffy. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder & salt in a medium bowl. Add gradually to Crisco mixture, beating at low speed until well blended. Divide dough into 2 equal pieces; shape into a disk. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
Sprinkle about 1 Tbs. of flour on to the counter and roll dough out to ¼ inch thick, cut into desired shapes and put onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with colored sugar and bake at 375 for 5-7 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on the sheet for 2 minutes then transfer to wax paper or paper bag to cool.

My son loved the dog bone shape cookies, he even shared one with Sophie(Our Dog).
